...to finally write my presentation.

So hi gentleman, it's an honor to be with you at this fantastic and growing site! Special thanks to Philippe and Rodger who invited me to this forum!

My name is Adrian Makai, I live in Hungary and currently I'm studying history-archeology at Miskolc University in my 3rd year now. Sadly I cannot watch many motorsport events in race tracks here, and also I left out many great events, like Italian GT 2005, FIA GT 2005 or FIA GT 1998, oh damn why didnt I knew about motorsport at that time Very Happy But thankfully since 2009 I watched many series at Hungaroring like FIA GT, LMS, 12H Hungary, WTCC, or FIA GT3 and Interserie at Slovakiaring and Red Bull Ring, and our Central European Zone Trophy, and this year I wanna attend Superstars Series and GT Open too. Okay this might sound a lot of attend, but still not enough as a year I only can afford 3-4 races, and there arent that much event like in Belgium or Italy. Also my big dream is to attend sometime LM24H and Nürburgring 24H, as well as Spa 24H, or just a "simple" event at a big western european race track, I would be happy with that, but sadly I cannot afford them.

For my love of race, its started about 11-12 years ago with PSX and with the fantastic game Gran Turismo 2. After that I become a huge car racing fan, I started to watch Formula 1 at 2001 Spa race, and from 2002 I watched every race until the big changes in 2009, and the realize of better motorsports events. Also watched the great LG Superstars Weekend at Eurosport in 2003, I became a huge Lister Strom fan, also that memory brought me to GTR1/2, to drive this super car. Previously alongside with GT2 I played different F1 games for PSX and later on computer, I also became huge fan of F1 Ch 99-02, especially after realizing how many non formula car based mods existing for it, namely the wonderful SCC or FIA GT 97 mod. I didn't had much luck with GTR1-2, because I was a more arcade style based racer (also forget NFS series which I loved), but after I found the Prototype SCC 98-08 mod for GTR2, I must had installed it again, only for that mod...and after diving into the depht of simracing at a new level. After that I searched hours an hours, and found dozens of great mods, and I began my sim community at Nogripracing at apr.2009, at the time when it started to fall. I always try to help people with constructive critizism, and sadly I have a little weird habit to not get fully satisfied with a car model, because I foolishly want it to have a really perfect model. So sorry about that, I'm not a gimmie-gimmie guy, I always respected the modders, its just a stupid habit of mine. But thanfully most models are perfect or I'm satisfied with them, so there's no real problem Very Happy

To consider my favourite mod for GTR2 is really hard, but I choose Proto SCC, BPR mod, GRID mod, BES mod and many single built car like GMT works, or Egozyr's fantastic Corvette Meeting mod. Also I love to have realistic fields too, I had dilemmas
Example: In my 2009 ALMS field, n 1 hand there's perfect models from GRID mod and NAGP's old not so realistic models but perefectly balanced and providing realistic fields. And the gameplay is important too, like with the NAGP's mod battles were always amazing, loved every race, while the other is boring, like the AI is so dumb. That's why skinpacks are not really my favs, so it can bring great troubles to wheter have good enjoyable races with not so good carpack, or have perfect models with boring and/or unrealistic races. (like Radical beating Audi R10 Very Happy or Seth Neiman is the fastest GT driver Very Happy) Before you ask, why didnt I try to edit these, I tried and without major success.

Sorry for a long post, hope you weren't bored when reading, well only if you read it lol!

Best wishes to everyone, and lets make this site even more wonderful and act like a big family! Very Happy
Adrian

great intro mate, a good read - let us know when you're coming over to this side of Europe and we'll get a beer at Spa, Nurby or LM!
