[WIP] - Oulton Park 2015

So earlier on I teased an exclusive. For a long time the picturesque Oulton Park circuit for GTR2 has had two options - the first a ToCA2 conversion and the other a ToCA Race Driver conversion. Whilst both got the track represented in the game, their accuracy was far from authentic, with random launchpad bumps and track surface making it a nightmare to drive even worse to sort an AIW for.

So I asked for permission to convert another version to GTR2. And to my own (welcome) surprise it was granted! So here are the first WIP screenshots of Oulton Park, credit to SimRacingTeam & Digga, and Nuno Lourenço for the original pack and the permissions being granted.

The track is strictly a WIP and requires many tweaks however.

Firstly, there is an absence of tree's. In 3DSimEd they are showing but due to their 3D nature they are not showing in-game - only ( some of)the 2D treewalls are.

AIW needs work and overhauling, as does optimisation with FPS being around 25% lower than most other tracks and loading times approx 50% longer. When you consider I have been trying to sort out and work with 800mb of files, and currently have it down to approx 600mb with the aim of 300mb max, it's a lengthy task.

It's very much WIP but I am looking for help with sorting those trees out. Track texture will also be reshaded using my own textures from Oulton Park in 2015. As someone who lives an hour from the circuit, I can tell you this the best version of Oulton Park I have seen for a GTR2-RF game.

Release will come in two parts - 1 will be the full direct conversion and the other will be the full "90s" treatment with updates to trackside surroundings etc to take the track back in time.

Finally a much more accurate Oulton Park! The crests on the original were like jumps on a rally stage. Like sure, most cars that race there do get a little airborne over Deer's Leap, but not to the extent of the original version we have atm!

Why not just delete the current tree's and take some from other tracks? Solves probably a big hassle with something that should work with not that much of a visual difference.

Oulton Park update - 90% complete.

To do:

Marshals (Fosters done, other layouts need extra)
Some minor AIW adjustments.
GDB naming and lap length etc
LOD
Some small TRK adjustments

Also small sneek peak of the "90s" version for the Super Touring mod here.
