Re: [RELEASE] Lexus RCF-GT3
There seems a issue with the frontfenders. Seems some vertice rotations or no-smoothed areas are occuring. Idk if it is on the AMS version aswell....
Can you check it pls?
BTW: I already fixed the showroom stuff myself with the correct rim/wheelhigh via extra isntance for this stuff and added the missing reflection settings for them....

Re: [RELEASE] Lexus RCF-GT3
And some more questions to solve... there are 2 options for endulights. but both are the same...maybe I'm blind...but no difference. idk if it is on purpose or a mistake...
and why the headlights are always yellow? triebie has set a wcextra2 material there, which is left by the conversion and has only the yellow "hl_glass.dds". seems also forgotten to activate it for GTR2... Also some other materials (wcextra1 ...) are left as RF1/AMS naming and won't work if you will use it correctly.
Is it possible to change the pirelli textures for the wheels into the one of the BMW, which may needs some resizing.? only a cosmetic feature in my eyes.
I only want to solve some flaws and show some bugs for you.... no offense to your work, which is great so far.

Re: [RELEASE] Lexus RCF-GT3
Update 2
see first post. As for wildcard textures, Gtr2 is more complicated and different as AMS. The layout of the materials is different so you cannot convert it 1:1.

which BMW did you mean?

Re: [RELEASE] Lexus RCF-GT3
i saw that you done some more smoothing to the car parts.
the reason i didn´t do taht was to avoid huge additions of verts and polygons.
You have to keep in mind that the files now are 3times bigger than my originals.
Can you confirm that this is not leading to a FPS loss?
If that´s OK, i will try my original LOD 0s as well:-)
Thanks for a short info!

The files was FBUMPER A-C. Size for A 2,9mb from 1,3mb, B 1,5mb from 0,8mb, C some kb. On my system (Core i7@4,8ghz, 2x GTX970 Sli) i cannot see any difference in FPS, but I run vsync at 60hz and the cpu runs between 1,6 - 4,8ghz and most of the time at around 15% usage.

Andreas, have you tried auto smoothing option at 3dsimed?
Open your mesh with 3dsimed, go to the "edit" tab and click on "auto smooth" button. Then chosse the angle (I use default 45 degree value). That should fix your issue

Re: [RELEASE] Lexus RCF-GT3
I see people converting useless road cars from FM4/FM6/FM7 and FH3 but none of them think about the Emil Frey Jag. Despite the 3d model being already available to download at GameModelspeter.edding wrote:Mc Wolf wrote:

Re: [RELEASE] Lexus RCF-GT3
At first thanks a lot to Irontower and Triebie for having this model in GTR2 now!
Then I have a question concerning the headlights/endulights in addition to Andreas/basukid/Nascarfreaks points a few posts above:
For personal use, I added BSS / GT Open / VLN / SGT300 skins from Triebie's AMS topic to my GTR2 installation. They use white or yellow lights. I understood that the 3rd digit of the GenString has influence on the look of the endulights: 1 is white, 2 is yellow. The glass of the headlights can be changed by using the small body2.dds texture. So the visibility is ok: completely white or completely yellow.
But: If you drive in dark conditions and turn on the lights, the beam is always yellow. How can this be controlled?
And: A Michelin tire texture would be very welcome. I found Yokohama and Bridgestone in the AMS topic. Maybe those could be integrated into the wheels.gtr file?
Thanks in advance!
