My New Member Presentation
This is my presentation for membership.
What's your real name, age?
Graham Bale aged 69 years.
From where you are?
I live near the town of Tewkesbury in the county of Gloucestershire, UK
Which Sim games do you play?
GTR2, Gran Turismo, Colin McRae Dirt, Need for Speed 'Shift', Assetto Corsa, Raceroom & Automobilista.
How did You know about EEC Team? (If its a friend or from a different site please tell write who it is too)
Found on Race Department website.
Do you ever race online?
Yes mainly Raceroom & Assetto Corsa, I would do Automobilista more but there seems less open rooms.
Do you have enough free time to run on sundays? (Only important if you want to drive online)
Not really, evenings is best for me.
Do you know something about modding, skinning?
No not the actual process of creation.
Any problem for you if we give access only for some Mods?
No but I would like to have the opportunity to race on line at some stage.
Are you here only to grab mods and then leave us?
No I'd also like to be an active member exchanging experiences etc.
Please, write a few words about you (hobbies, sports, job, etc):
I am a retired engineer and I find SIM racing keeps my reflexes sharp, although not to a high standard as some top online racers. I have always had a big interest in anything to do with motoring. I have owned various performance cars and bikes in my time, the current fun car being a TVR Chiamera 450 & bike being a 1977 Moto Guzzi 850 Lemans. I regularly attend car race meetings such as Shelsley Walsh, Castle Combe and Silverstone. My main interest is in classic cars & bikes although I do follow all the major car & bike championships on TV. Whilst you can have great fun racing in a SIM, you just can't compare it against racing other humans on the track... it's the ultimate! I know I could give some younger members a good race as I have already on the online racing I've done already.
I hope my presentation will be accetpted and I look forward to an enjoyable membership.
Cheers... Graham Bale

Not having done this sort of thing before, what exactly is meant by "signature"?

Re: My New Member Presentation
A signature is a message automatically added to the end of all of your posts. Here on EEC we write our real names in it.

I think I've got it now, sorry but its been a few years since I retired so I had forgotten about e-signatures as used in emails.
Thanks to GT Fan 8899 for your help in getting this right.

Welcome Graham!
We have some less structured Automobilista races from time to time on Sundays and they are starting a Saturday morning regular time slot too so look around and join us for some fun on track!
Enjoy!

Re: My New Member Presentation
Thanks Paul, yes Saturday races would probably suit me better so I must look into what I need to do to set myself up for online racing.
Am I correct in thinking that EEC is a "pay to race" series? Presumably done this way to keep out unwanted "wreckers" from spoiling the fun.
Thanks again for the welcome.

Re: My New Member Presentation
No, it's not a pay to race series. We have our own system to keep wreckers out, read our Online Rules
We take donations to pay the server bills tho

Re: My New Member Presentation
Oh right, a donation is fine.
So how do I go about joining an online race thats coming up at a weekend?
I have also noticed some Automobilista rooms in multiplayer mode are locked and they need a password to get in. How can I aquire the passwords to join these locked rooms?
Thanks again for everyones patience with a newbee like me.
