Hello from the U.S.
Hi all,
I'm a long time sim racer and just found your wonderful looking mods. I mostly just use GTR2 for my road racing fun, and looks like lots of neat things around here to upgrade my game. Thanks guys

Re: Hello from the U.S.
Thank you, LudwigAudi.
I am totally new to this site. I found it through a Google search for GTR2 mods looking for GT3 cars. My real name is Ray Sechrest (attached to signature now) and I'm 46 years old from Archdale, North Carolina in the United States. I have been an avid sim racing for 17 years now. I mostly play Nascar Heat for the oval side of racing, but I love GTR2 as well for my road racing fun.
I have been in this hobby so long, that I learned a bit about modding and skinning, although I am no pro by any means. Some of what I see around here overwhelms me...LOL.
I am not an online racer, so I tend to stick with the 2 games that provide good AI racing, Nascar Heat and GTR2. GTR2 is a great game for AI racing on road courses, so it will always be a favorite of mine. I'd love to have access to any private sections of mods, and I will always stick around, due to the sheer nature of the great products produced and distributed here.
As far as my real job, I am a CNC Router Operator at a wood working company that builds furniture (sleeper sofas, recliners, chairs, ottomans...etc) in Denton, NC. I love my job... which most won't admit...LOL.
I also plan on getting married to my girlfriend some time in 2017, so I can just about bet she's going to limit my "play time" with games. But she loves me, so maybe I can talk her into letting me have enough "me time" to suffice.
Sorry for the long post, but hope its the info you all need. Thanks again.

Re: Hello from the U.S.
Welcome Ray. I'm just up north of you in Virginia and have been here at EEC for about two years. Great site and community. You'll really enjoy it!
Can't recommend the GTR2 GT3 mod enough. I still use the 2.3 version as there were more skins available than the 3.0. I also stay current on the GRID mods for WEC offline racing too and this sight has THE BEST collection in that thread that the team keeps updating regularly.
The team here moved from GTR2 to Reiza products for online racing about 18 months ago so I rarely fire up GTR2 anymore. I have to admit that the base Game Stock Car Extreme or Automobilista are better overall sims. They use the GTR2 engine for the driving experience which is still great IMO but coupled it with the RFactor file structure so it's easy for a novice like me to get into modding and skinning. I also think the Reiza products have much better base AI, though I've heard GTR2 can get to that level with some of the enhancements now available. They push my old computer to the limit though so there is still nothing like GTR2 for a wide variety of cars to drive and have fun with and it will have everything beat there for probably the next decade. Wish we'd have kept an online league going on that platform.
Enjoy buddy

Re: Hello from the U.S.
^^ What misses the most in AMS is mutliclass racing with real liveries. If I could race again at Le Mans with 55-60 cars I would finally be able to say goodbye to GTR2. Yet, at the moment AMS and AC don't have this and rFactor 2 just isn't quite there yet either although Enduracers did deliver a good mod for rf2, yet it isn't as impressive as what they did first in rF1 imo.
