Record videos ingame?

I haven't had a need for this in such a long time, I forgot everything I once knew

Right now, what's the best tool to record ingame videos?
Preferably in HD and with sound and for free

Bandicam or Fraps
Record in the max possible quality then use Freemake Video Converter to reduce the size, it works well and you won't lose much quality, but the size sure will be reduced and a lot!
This video was recorded with Fraps, 1.2gb, reduced to 27mb and still kept the HD xD (excuse my noob PC, that's why the low quality)


I don't know free alternatives, sorry

Edit: I think bandicam has a free version limited to max 10 minutes of recording the same video
