I'm having a very odd bug when I drive, I get half the FPS than I should be getting. Once I get out of the car and look at the 'monitor', the FPS is completely fine. I even switched to the cockpit view and the FPS is very smooth, but actually playing it, it is not like that.

Any ideas why this happens?

In SCE? Strange if it was AMS I'd say it's your FFB settings, some wheels caused fps drop but they added ffb options that help to make the problem disappear. Didn't see any similar case in SCE.
I'd say shadows on full could cause this but problem would appear in the replay too

I can run Automobilista absolutely fine on the highest settings. I'll probably do a reinstall and see what goes from there.

i think such questions are wrong here as reiza have a own forum where you will get much faster help or better to say there you will get help from the devs Wink

Low fps all of sudden means either a mod/plugin you installed and caused problem, video card driver update or windows update (especially if you are with Win 10)

it can be everything Wink dont forget ams is still ea and they often change something... people who had problem say everything is great with the next patch and others who dont had problems say they have stuttering since new patch Wink

thats why i wrote its better to check the reiza forum as a lot people wrote about fps problems and i think he maybe can find a solution there

But Peter said SCE so it's likely one of those things

you should check xour game settings and driver settings

if you have your game with 8xaa and also on driver with 8xaa you can have fps problems ingame... always just set one, set it on driver or set it ingame, thats for all graphic settings Wink

also try with and without vsync on both (ingame and driver) it can happen with vsync on you can have stuttering ingame while with off its running smooth...

Sorry for bumping, but I've found a solution for anyone else that may be struggling with this.

You'll have to change in your .PLR file 'Delay Video Swap' a 0 to a 1. Hope this helps as much as it did for me!
